At least 38 admission seekers will vie for each seat in the honours first year admission test under 2021-2022 academic session of Rajshahi University (RU).
A total of 1,78,268 students are going to sit for the entry tests while 4,641 seats are available in 59 departments under 10 faculties and two institutes this year, a press release said on Saturday.
A total of 67,237 applicants will vie for A-unit while 38,621 for B-unit, and 72,410 for C-unit, the press release read.
The entry test under Unit ''C'' (Science group) will take place on Monday, Unit ''A'' (Humanities group) on Tuesday and Unit ''B'' (Commerce group) on Wednesday.
The tests will be held under four shifts each day. Apart from this, detailed information about the admission test is now available on www.ru.ac.bd.
All admission test centres will be brought under strict surveillance to prevent any forgery this year, said RU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Golam Sabbir Sattar in a press conference held at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Senate building.
He also said, ‘We have taken all the preparations to hold the admission tests smoothly and ensure participation of all students. Calculators, mobile phones and any kind of digital devices are prohibited in the exam hall and mobile courts will be on duty during the examinations.”
