‘Toposhi O Torongini’ to be staged at BSA today

Country’s popular drama troupe Loko Natyadal will stage its ninth production ‘Toposhi O Torongini’ at the main auditorium of National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) at 07:00pm today.

Scripted by Buddhadeb Bosu, the play has been directed by BSA Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky.

The cast of the play includes Farhana Mili, Swadesh Ranjan Dasgupta, Rubel Shankar, Abu Bakar Bakshi, Masud Sumon, Shamima Islam Tusty, Musa Rubel, Mashruba Juthi, Anonna Nishi and Mitu Rahman.

The play was staged at ‘AACT World Festival’ at Florida in United State of America on June 21 and 28 this year. The play was also received two prestigious awards at the festival. 

Popular actress Farhana Mili will play the role of Torongini in the drama. She also participated at the shows which were held at Florida.   

About her acting in the play, Farhana Mili said, “I came from the stage. I became an actress from theatre plays. When I stand on the stage for acting, I feel that it is my real address. Theatre is my comfort zone.”

“I’m very happy that, I’ve performed at ‘AACT World Festival’ at Florida recently. I express my gratitude to Lucky uncle for this opportunity. All member of the ‘Toposhi O Torongini’ team have done their job perfectly,” she added.
