Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq on Monday inaugurated Mujib Corner at the Law Commission office at Judicial Administration Training Institute (JATI) building in the capital.

Mujib Corner, featuring different rare photographs of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family, books on him, his works and struggle for the nation, will become helpful in making Bagabandhu’s memory shine forever, a press release said on Monday.

After inaugurating the corner, the law minister signed the visitors’ book and wrote, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman gifted us our independence and constitution. I am paying my deep respect to his memory. His contribution will last forever. He will live forever among us.

Law Commission Chairman Justice ABM Khairul Haque, member Justice ATM Fazle Kabir, Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division Secretary Md Moinul Kabir, Law and Justice Division Secretary Md Golam Sarwer and other senior officials were present on the occasion.

After the inauguration, the law commission Chairman conducted a special munajat seeking divine blessings for the souls of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his martyred family members, four national leaders, martyred intellectuals and martyrs of 1971.

Prayers were also offered for good health and long life of President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as well as continued peace, progress and prosperity of the country.
