4 more deaths, 900 cases  detected

A total of 900 Covid-19 cases and four deaths were reported across the country in 24 hours until 8:00am on Sunday, according to Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The country’s coronavirus situation has still been out of control as a total of 22,555 cases have been recorded in the country in the last 17 days.

Some 1007 cases were reported on Saturday, 1,324 on Thursday, 1,027 on Wednesday, 656 on Tuesday, 521 on Monday, 814 on Sunday and 939 on Saturday.

The daily infection rate had been below one percent until the first week of June while it has now risen to around 15 percent. The infection rate was some 11.12 percent on Sunday.   

So far, a total of 29,234 coronavirus patients have died and 19,96,340 cases have been detected. The total death rate has declined to 1.46 percent in the country.

Meanwhile, 1983 corona patients were recovered in the 24 hours, bringing the total to 19,24,960. The recovery rate has stood at 96.42 percent.
