Teletalk and Bangladesh Cable Shilpa Sangstha provided 1,300 packets of relief items for the flood-affected people in north-eastern region of the country on Thursday.
On behalf of Teletalk, its Managing Director Md Sahab Uddin handed over 1,000 packets of relief goods to Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar at Teletalk head office in the capital.
Secretary of Posts and Telecommunications Ministry Md Khalilur Rahman was also present at the event.
The relief goods will be distributed at the flood-hit Khaliajuri upazila of Netrokona district, said a press release.
Each packet of relief items included 4 kg of rice, 2 kg of potatoes, 1 kg of lentils, soybean oil, garlic and salt.
Earlier, 9,601 packets of relief items collected from BTCL and Telephone Shilpa Sangstha were sent to Khaliajuri, Mohanganj and Madan Upazilas of Netrokona district and Shalla of Sunamganj district.
