To act in Tollywood will be a new experience for me: Siam

Siam Ahmed is one of the most popular big screen actors of the country. The Dhallywood heartthrob, who has won the hearts of million with her fabulous performance, is all set to make his debut in Tollywood. He will be seen acting in noted Kolkata filmmaker Sayantan Ghosal’s new movie. The title of the movie is yet to be finalised.

Siam himself confirmed the news to The Daily Sun on Tuesday. 

Popular Tollywood actors Prosenjit Chatterjee, Srabanti and Ayoshi will play important roles in the movie. Siam will be seen opposite Ayoshi in the film. The shooting of the project will begin in August and the entire filming will take place in London.          

About the movie, Siam said, “The planning to work for the film has been going on for a long time. After the initial talks with the director Sayantan Ghosal, we discussed about the story and plots of the film. Actually, we were locked into the story. I wanted to relate the plots of the movie to our Bangladeshi audience.”

“To act in Tollywood film will be a new experience for me. It is a new market and new audience. I’m very happy that I will share the screen with actors like Prosenjit Chatterjee, Srabanti and Ayoshi”, Siam added.

Siam Ahmed is an audience-admired actor of the country. He started his career as a model for ‘Airtel Bangladesh’. He made his big screen debut with ‘PoraMon 2’ in 2018.

The National Film Award-winning artiste starrer movie ‘Shaan’ is running at different theatres in Australia.The film was released in theatres across Bangladesh during last Eid.

On the other hand, his films-‘Operation Sundarbans’ directed by Dipankar Dipon and ‘Damaal’ by Raihan Rafi  will be released in theatres after Eid-ul-Azha.

To note: Earlier this year, Siam signed a contract to act in a Bollywood movie titled ‘In the Ring’ (Story of a Burqa Boxer) alongside Indian actress Mithila Palkar, known for Netflix’s ‘Little Things.’ The film will be directed by Alka Raghuram, an American filmmaker of Indian descent.
