Make environmental development visible

Minister asks officials

Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Shahab Uddin has given strict instructions to the officials and employees of the ministry to make the development of the country’s environment visible as part of the commitment made by the government.

The minister said this while speaking at the signing ceremony of the Annual Performance Agreement (APA) for the financial year 2022-2023 with the ministry and its seven departments at the conference room of the ministry on Wednesday as the chief guest.

Shahab Uddin said, “The annual performance agreement is a structured work plan. We have to be sincere in fulfilling the goal of making Bangladesh a developed country by 2041.”

Secretary of the ministry Dr Farhina Ahmed chaired the programme and signed the agreement on behalf of the ministry.

Deputy Minister Habibun Nahar, Additional Secretary (Administration) Iqbal Abdullah Harun and other senior officials of the ministry and heads of subordinate departments and agencies were present in the programme.
