Experts have laid emphasis on concerted efforts by public and private sectors to put an end to child labour across the country.
They also referred to the hurdles to policy advocacy due to lack of specific data on child labour and street children.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russel was the chief guest while Kaler Kantho Editor Shahed Muhammad Ali moderated the session.
Zahid Ahsan Russel said various companies appoint child workers to take benefits of cheap labour. He laid stress on integrating street children into mainstream.
Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments Deputy Inspector General Ahmed Belal, World Vision Bangladesh Deputy Director Monju Maria Palma, Gazipur Ward Councillors Momen Miah and Zabed Ali, and District Education Officer Rebeka Sultana were also present at the event.
