Dhaka Motor Show begins in ICCB

A cluster of exhibitions on automobile industries began in Dhaka on Thursday to showcase the innovations and strength of local and international brands.

CEMS-Global USA is organising the 15th edition of three-day Dhaka Motor Show at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB).

The automotive show featured with sixth Dhaka bike Show, fifth Dhaka Parts Show and fourth Dhaka Commercial Automotive Show.

Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Chairman Prof Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam attended the inauguration as the chief guest while Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Vice Chairman AHM Ahsan was the special guest. Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) Vice-President Khaled Khan made an address of welcome.

Suzuki Motorbikes Divisional Director Shoeb Ahmed, Energy Pac Managing Director Humayun Rashid and CEMS Global President Meherun N Islam were also present on the occasion.

In his speech, Prof Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam said the exhibition would play an important role in the development of Bangladesh's automotive and automotive industries.

He hoped that such a positive step would enhance the image of Bangladesh in the world market as well as alleviate the crisis of confidence among investors.

Some 27 exhibitors are showcasing local and international brands from more than 15 more countries including Germany, Italy, France, the United States, Japan, China, India, and Malaysia.

Cars and bikes of European brands like Maserati, Porsche, Defender and other leading brands like Hyundai, Jeep Bangladesh's Wrangler, PHP Automobile, Mitsubishi, Honda, HAutos, Toyota are displayed.
