Somoy Theatre Troupe’s much-acclaimed production ‘Bhager Manush’ will be staged at the Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) tomorrow.
The play ‘Bhager Manush’, which has been scripted by Mannan Heera from the short story ‘Toba Tek Singh’, written by Urdu writer Saadat Hasan Manto, focuses on the sufferings of the people living near the border area during the partition of the Indian subcontinent in 1947.
The play tells the story of lives changed by the partition of India and how it has left a lasting impact on the society irrespective of caste, creed and gender.
The probable cast of the play includes Akteruzzaman, Rezaur Rahman, Fakhrul Islam Mithu, Tofael Sarker, Mansura Rashid Lovely, Pavel Islam, Mahmudul Alam, Sunita Barua, Alamgir Hossain, Anowar, Sauny, Chondon Bos, Kabita and others.
