Sangeet Oikya’s nationwide music fest and confce begins

Sangeet Oikya Bangladesh’s nationwide month-long music festival and conference began in Chattogram on Friday.

State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid inaugurated the music festival and conference at Zilla Shilpakala Academy in Chattogram as the chief guest. Sangeet Oikya Bangladesh’s General Secretaries Shahid Mahmud Jangi, Nakib Khan and Kumar Bishwajit were present as discussants at the event with Sangeet Oikya Bangladesh President Rezwana Choudhury Bannya in the chair, said a press release.

After the inaugural ceremony, Rezwana Choudhury Bannya, Kumar Bishwajit, Hasan Abidur Reza Jewel, Joy Shahriar, Kishore Das, Samarjit Roy, artistes of Chattogram Sangeet Bhaban, Premsundar Baishnab, artistes of Jum Aesthetics Council enthralled the audience with their performance. Band Durbin, Renaissance, Dalchhut and Souls also performed at the event.

Sangeet Oikya Bangladesh’s second festival and conference was supposed to be held at the Zilla Shilpakala Academy, Sylhet on June 24.  Due to ongoing flood situation in Sylhet region, Sangeet Oikya Bangladesh has postponed their second festival in Sylhet.
