The FIFA World Cup Trophy will arrive in Dhaka on June 8 for a 36-hour tour of Bangladesh.
The global tour of the world’s most coveted trophy started on May 12 with a first-stop event in Dubai.
Bangladesh Football Federation President Kazi Salahuddin said: “FIFA World Cup holds a sentimental value to every citizen of the country and to be able to host the trophy tour in Bangladesh. It’s a matter of great pride for us. I would like to extend my gratitude to the FIFA authority and Coca-Cola Bangladesh for bringing the trophy.”
Earlier the trophy made its visit to Bangladesh in 2013 before FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil.
“We’re excited to bring the iconic Original FIFA World Cup Trophy to 51 football nations and give a chance to fans to experience real magic through a collective belief and passion for the game,” Coca-Cola Bangladesh Managing Director Ta Duy Tung said.
Coca-Cola Bangladesh will host a special Trophy Tour Concert for all the consumers at the Bangladesh Army Stadium in the capital on June 9 where consumers and fans will be able to view the trophy during the concert.
