Teaser of ‘JK 1971’ released

The teaser of noted filmmaker Fakhrul Arefeen Khan’s upcoming film titled ‘JK 1971’ has been released. The teaser was released on the YouTube channel and Facebook page of Gorai Films on Saturday.

‘JK 1971’ is the first international language film on our Liberation War. The story of the movie is based on Jean Kay, a Frenchman, who hijacked a plane in 1971 in support of the Bangladesh Liberation War.

Indian actor Subhra Sourav Das will portray the role of Jean Kay in the film while noted Indian actor Sabyasachi Chakraborty will be seen as a pilot in ‘JK 1971’.

The script of the film has been written by Masum Reza.

About the movie, Fakhrul Arefeen said, “Films on the First World War, the Second World War, the Afghan war and even the war in Somalia have been made with international languages. But there is no movie on our liberation war in English for international audience. So we decided to make this movie. In the meantime, the shooting, editing, dubbing, colour correction and VFX of post-production of the film has been completed.

I hope the film will be released soon.”
