Bashundhara Group Pioneer Football League begins today

The country’s lone age-level grassroots football competition ‘28th Bashundhara Group Pioneer (U-15) Football League 2021-22’ will begin with an inauguration programme today at the Bashundhara Kings Arena of Bashundhara Sports Complex in the capital. 

Bashundhara Group, the country’s largest business conglomerate, is sponsoring the competition, which helps to find out young talents from the grassroots to form a strong pipeline for the different age-level teams and different domestic leagues.

In the inaugural match, Arambagh Krira Chakra junior will play against Kamrangirchar Krira Unnayan Parishad at the same venue at 3:00pm.

A total of 46 teams – split into five zones including central, east, west, north and south– will participate in the competition.

The matches in five zones will be held at the five different venues – Paltan Outer Stadium, Gopibagh Brother Union ground, Mirpur Golartek ground, Uttara Sector 14 ground and Fatullah Aliganj ground. 

The details were disclosed in a press conference at the Bangladesh Football Federation house in Motijheel on Friday.

BFF EC member and DMFLC co-chairman Elias Hossain, deputy chairman Amer Khan, Pioneer Football League sub-committee deputy chairman Mohidur Rahman Miraj and other BFF members and officials were present there.
