3 found dead in capital

Police recovered the bodies of three people in the capital on Wednesday.

A body was recovered from the Hotel Intercontinental in the Ramna area. He was identified as Subrato Saha, 52. He was an engineer by profession.

Subrato worked at the hotel, said Nur Mohammad, inspector (operations) of Ramna Police Station.

Police were unable to determine whether he was murdered or committed suicide. The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.

At Kamrangirchar, police recovered the bodies of two youths from the first floor of a three-storey tin-shed house on Salt Factory Lane at Koylaghat around 11:00 am. They were Miraz, 20, and Rubel, 18.

Police found Rubel dead while Miraz was taken to the DMCH where the doctors declared him dead, said Aniruddha Roy, sub-inspector of Kamrangirchar Police Station.

They might have drunk or eaten something poisonous at night, which might have been the reason behind their deaths, said Mostafizur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kamrangirchar Police Station.

The bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for an autopsy, the report of which will reveal the exact reason behind the deaths, he said.

Miraz was the son of Abul Kalam of Lauhaganj in Munshiganj. The victim and his family members lived in the house in Koylaghat and worked at a plastic factory there, said Aynal Howlader, uncle of Miraz.

But he could say nothing about Ruble.
