The Election Commission on Sunday picked some recommendations made by eminent personalities during a series of talks over holding the next parliamentary election in a peaceful and credible manner.
The EC compiled 16 opinions given by the educationists, intellectuals, civil society members and journalists during the talks, said a press release.
About the first opinion, the EC said they will invite all political parties to talks to have their views on holding the next polls in a transparent manner. They will do all they can to stop vote-rigging and ensure a free and fair election.
After considering the probability, usefulness, advantage and disadvantage, the EC will decide whether the election will be held in phases if the number of law enforcers is not enough.
The commission will actively consider the issue of setting up CCTV cameras at polling stations. Besides, experiment with EVMs is underway. The EC added that that they would continue such analysis and decide the next course of action.
