Bangladesh Cricket Board sent a letter to pace bowler Mustafizur Rahman to know about his Test plans.
This is the first official move of the board after they announced earlier that they will sit with him to know about his future plans regarding the red-ball cricket.
Mustafizur’s name again came under discussion for Test matches when their two leading pacers Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam are ruled out from West Indies due to their respective injury problems.
Since making his Test debut in 2015, Mustafizur featured in just 14 out of the 39 Tests that Bangladesh played in this period.
The left-arm pace bowler missed seven Tests after the BCB opted not to include him in the Test contract list as per his insistence.
Mustafizur is expected to return home soon from India as his team Delhi Capitals are still in the race of making it to the top four slots in the ongoing IPL and the board is expected to have a clear picture about his frame of mind regarding his red-ball cricket.
