CHATTOGRAM: A weeklong food festival titled ‘Silk Road China to Europe’ kicked off at hotel ‘The Peninsula Chittagong,’ a four-star hotel in the port city, on Thursday.
Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) President Mahbubul Alam formally inaugurated the festival at Leguna Restaurant of the hotel.
The hotel authority decorated the restaurant in an attractive way while a good number of mouth-watering dishes of different countries including India to China, and Italy to Lebanon were displayed.
This exciting buffet dinner will be available at Tk 3,000 per person (all inclusive).
Besides, ‘Buy-1 Get-1 Free’ offer will also be available on cards selected banks, the hotel officials said.
After inaugurating the festival, CCCI President Mahbubul Alam said the festival will surely help the food lovers to have taste of foods of different parts of the globe at a time. He also thanked the hotel authority for the arrangement.
Ranks FC CEO Tanvir hoped that the festival will attract the both local and foreign guests.
Peninsula General Manager Sumedha Gunawardana and International Executive Chef Rasika Weerasinghe attended the programme among others.
