State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said that Bangladesh and Singapore could work together in the areas of urbanisation, energy, education and technology in a planning way.
The state-minister made the comment while Singapore`s non-resident High Commissioner to Bangladesh Derek Loh met him at his office in the Secretariat of the capital on Wednesday.
In his replay, Derek Loh said that Bangladesh's power and energy sector has shown unprecedented success. The power and energy sectors may go into bond issue or capital market. The market in Singapore is open to everyone.
Singapore’s Head of Mission to Bangladesh Sheela Pillai, Deputy Director of Singapore Commerce Ministry Uma Muniandy, an official of Singapore foreign ministry Nathanael Lee, Director of Entreprise Singapore Jayakrishnan Gopalakrishanan and Global Director of Entreprise Singapore Audrey tan took part in the event.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Sweden led by its High Commissioner to Bangladesh Alexandra Breg Von visited Nasrul Hamid at his office at the Secretariat on the day.
During the meeting, they discussed issues of bilateral interests.
