Bangladesh Railway on Saturday formed a three-member probe committee to investigate the incident of suspending Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) Shafiqul Islam for fining three alleged relatives of railway minister.
The committee led by assistant transport officer of Pakshi division Sajedul Islam has been asked to submit its report within two working days.
Speaking over the issue, Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujan said that he has no relation with those passengers who have recently been fined by the TTE for travelling on the train without ticket.
“Someone may have tried to take advantage by using my name. I have been informed that departmental actions have been taken against a TTE for misbehaving with passengers,” he said.
Sujan also claimed that he had nothing to do with the suspension order as he has not been interfered with the day to day administrative activities of the railway.
