The bodies of two persons, including a five-year-old child, were recovered in Lakshmipur and Jamalpur districts on Friday morning, after they went missing previous day.
In Lakshmipur, Jihad, 5, son of Ziauddin, went missing after he went out of their house at Shakchar in the sadar upazila to play on Thursday afternoon, said some relatives.
On Friday morning, his body was spotted in a field land, they said.
Jasim Uddin, officer-in-charge of Lakshmipur Model Police Station, said that injury marks were found on the body of the child.
His body was sent to the sadar hospital for autopsy, he said. The autopsy report would clear the reason of his death, he said.
In Jamalpur, the body of Mahtabul Rahman Babu, 19, son of Polbandha Union Parishad Chairman Mostafizur Rahman Komol, was recovered from the Brahmaputra River in Islampur 20 hours he went missing.
Local people said that Babu with his friends went to the river to take a bath on Thursday noon.
Khairul Islam, station officer of Islampur Fire Station, said being informed, they came to the spot and recovered the body.
