A salesman injured critically in the clash between New Market traders and Dhaka College students died in Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) early Thursday.

Morsalin died while undergoing treatment at the ICU, said Inspector Bacchu Mia of DMCH police outpost.

He worked at a clothing store in New Market and lived with his wife Ani Akter and children Sumaiya Islam Lamha, 7, and Amir Hamza, 4, in a rented home in Kamrangirchar area of the capital.

Dhaka College students clashed with New Market traders sporadically on Monday night, leaving over 50 persons injured.

On Tuesday night, Nahid Hossain, 20, who worked for a delivery service, was injured in the clash and succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

New Market traders and Dhaka College students blamed each other for the violent clash.
