CHATTOGRAM: At least 15 people including police men were injured in a clash between police and readymade garment (RMG) workers in the port city’s Boalkhali upazila on Monday.

The agitating workers put barricade on Arakan Road in the upazila after the clash.

Workers of the Regent Textile started demonstration at 8:00am demanding payment of salary arrears in front of the factory.

As the management didn’t allow the protesters inside the factory, they took to the street.

On receiving information, police rushed to the spot and tried to bring the situation under control.

At one stage, the workers were locked in a clash with the police.
