The arrestees were identified as Jalal Uddin, 24, student of Anthropology Department of CU, and one Abdul Kader Rimon, 25. Jalal appeared in the examination for giving proxy on behalf of a candidate named Haider Rashid.

Sources said recruitment examination for the post of office assistant for Revenue department of Chattogram Deputy Commissioner’s Office took place at various examination centres in the city.

ON-duty Executive Magistrate Ashraful Alam noticed dissimilarities in a candidate’s appearance and his photo at attendance sheet at Chattogram City Corporation Municipality Model School and College centre during the examination.
