Bashundhara Paper Mills has donated 205,000 pens to Bidyanondo Foundation, a non-profit educational voluntary organisation.

The donation was made at a programme at Bashundhara Industrial Headquarters-2 in the capital on Thursday in order to help street children with education, said a news release.

At the event, Bashundhara Group Deputy Managing Director Mustafizur Rahman handed over a dummy pen to Bidyanondo Foundation Executive Committee Member Jamal Uddin.

Bidyanondo Foundation has received popular acclaim for serving meals to street children at a token cost of Tk 1.

Thousands of children are now availing themselves of the opportunity since the programme started with only 30 children.

The organisation has been working for the well-being of disadvantaged children by providing them with food, education and health.

Bashundhara Multi Paper Industries Head of Division Masudur Rahman, Head of Sales Golam Sarwar, Head of Marketing Mohammad Alauddin and Senior Executive Afsar Alam Rabbi were present on the occasion.

Bidyanondo Foundation’s Head of Communications Salman Khan Yeasin, Medical Officer Shishir and Communication Executive Maksudul Islam Dulal were present, among others.
