CUB celebrates 50 years of Bangladesh-US friendship

The Canadian University of Bangladesh (CUB) has celebrated 50 years of friendly relations between Bangladesh and the United States.

CUB organised a discussion marking the day on Sunday on its campus in the capital.

President of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) Prof Bill Poucher was the chief guest at the discussion while founder of CUB and Chairman of its Board of Trustees Dr Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat in the chair.

Faculty member CID Director General Barrister Mahbubur Rahman, Abdul Monem Group Managing Director ASM Mainuddin Monem and Executive Chairman of the Board of Trustees of CUB Shahnul Hasan Khan also addressed at the discussion.

Senior Advisor to the Board of Trustees of CUB Prof Dr HM Jahirul Haque, Treasurer Prof ASM Sirajul Haque and heads, teachers and students of all departments took part at the event.

Later, Bill Poucher and other guests visited an exhibition organised by CUB on the occasion of 50 years of progress of Bangladesh.
