Dhaka, Bangkok to strengthen relations

Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen paid a courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Thailand Don Pramudwinai at the Thai Foreign Ministry in Bangkok on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the Foreign Secretary exchanged felicitations and greetings on the occasion of the golden jubilee of bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Thailand.

They discussed issues of mutual interest. The two sides expressed keen interest to further strengthen the existing excellent bilateral relations in the days ahead, said the Foreign Ministry.

On behalf of Foreign Minister of Bangladesh AK Abdul Momen, Foreign Secretary extended an invitation to the Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister for a visit to Dhaka at a mutually convenient time this year.

Bangladesh Ambassador to Thailand Abdul Hye and Director General (South East Asia) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was present on the occasion.
