Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud will arrive in Dhaka on March 15 on a three-day official visit to Bangladesh that diplomatic experts said is a step in bolstering bilateral ties between the two countries.
Officials remained tight-lipped about the agenda of the meeting, and the Foreign Ministry did not provide details either.
Diplomatic sources said it would a significant visit in terms of bilateral relations and the Saudi Prince will meet high-profile government leaders, including Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
They further said Prince Faisal bin Farhan will hold bilateral talks with his Bangladesh counterpart AK Abdul Momen on March 16.
During the talks, the two sides will discuss entire range of bilateral issues, Saudi investment in Bangladesh, economic cooperation, trade, more export from Bangladesh, recruit of more manpower from Bangladesh, security cooperation and issues of common concern.
Foreign ministry officials said Bangladesh is one of the preferred destinations for Saudi businessmen, who are keen to participate in mega projects in Bangladesh.
High-profile Saudi business delegations have recently visited Bangladesh and showed their interest in investing in several projects during their meeting with top government officials.
