Awami League (AL) general secretary Obaidul Quader has asked Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) to make comments in the language of peace, otherwise the AL will give them a befitting reply.

“Awami League does not afraid of Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s shouting. Use language of peace, otherwise Awami League will give a befitting reply to them,” he said.

Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, said this while addressing the council session of Natore district AL unit virtually.

Mentioning that BNP is hatching conspiracies targeting the next national election, Quader said people will cast their vote in favour of Awami League resisting all conspiracies and make the ruling party victorious again in huge margin.

Turning to factional clash centering the Natore district unit council of the party,   Quader asked the central leaders who were present during the clash to take necessary actions who were involved in the incident.

"If you make internal wrangling ahead of next general elections, the government's all developments and progress will get faded," he said pointing to those AL workers who were involved with the clash.

“All the development of the country will be ruined if you make internal conflicts ahead of the elections, he said.

Awami League presidium members-- Abdur Rahman and AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, joint general secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud, organising secretary SM Kamal Hossain, health and population secretary Rokeya Sultana and State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak addressed the programme, among others.

Natore district AL president Abdul Quddus chaired the meeting while its general secretary Shafiqul Islam Shimul conducted the council session.
