The country’s streaming platform Bongo released the Bangla-dubbed South Indian film ‘Theri’ on Friday. Directed by renowned filmmaker Atlee Kumar, the film stars Vijay Thalapati, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Amy Jackson in the lead roles.

The Bangla title of the film is ‘Shinghopurush’.

‘Theri’ was first released on 14 April 2016. The movie received positive reviews from critics and the audience who praised the cast’s performances, action sequences and direction.

The story of ‘Theri’ revolves around a former police officer who is on a mission to protect his daughter from gangsters and seek revenge for the death of his wife.

Head of Licensing and Distribution of Bongo Karoline Hoeprner said, “Theri aka Shinghopurush is a movie packed with total entertainment. To meet our mass audience’s expectations, we brought this film. We believe that this ‘Movie of the Month’ will delight the audience of all classes. "

It is the first of many Bongo ‘Movie of the Month’ released this year. Bongo plans to bring more exciting blockbusters this year, being released every month.
