Bangladesh U-19 head coach Naveed Nawaz might not continue after the end of the ongoing ICC U-19 World Cup in West Indies, a Bangladesh Cricket Board official said on Wednesday.
“He informed us that he got an offer from the Sri Lanka Cricket. We told him that we would sit with him after the ICC U-19 World Cup,” BCB Game Development Chairman Khaled Mahmud said.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board earlier extended Nawaz’s contract following the junior Tigers U-19 World Cup triumph campaign in South Africa in 2020.
The current batch of the junior Tigers has already reached the super league quarterfinals in the ongoing edition of the tournament under Nawaz’s guidance and they will take on India in the knockout tie on Saturday in Antigua.
