Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has directed all the commercial banks to provide detail of accounts of noble laureate economist Prof Muhammad Yunus.
“That is a routine check, nothing else,” Masud Biswas, head of BFIU, told the Daily Sun on Monday.
In the letter, the agency also sought credit card information of the economist. The banks have to provide information by today.
