Fortune Barishal’s West Indian opener Chris Gayle arrived in Dhaka on Sunday morning to take part in the ongoing Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League.

Gayle, the self-styled Universe Boss, vows to ‘do his thing’ for Fortune Barishal in the competition and now he waits for a corona negative result to take part in the competition.

‘Fortune Barishal. It’s Chris Gayle, Universe Boss. Thanks for having me; I’m looking forward to meeting each and everyone,” the Jamaican said through a video message on Sunday.

“I’m looking forward to great things; congrats on the first win. Wish you guys all the very best in the next game. I’m going to join you guys. Universe Boss will do his thing,” he said while congratulating his team for their win in the opening match of the tournament.

Gayle, the greatest T20 cricketer of all time, may be long past his prime and in the twilight of his career at 42 years of age, but he still is the biggest attraction for franchise cricket.
