Seminar on US-Bangladesh joint military exercise begins

A delegation of the US-Bangladesh met at the Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operation Training (BIPSOT) in Rajendrapur on Sunday to work out a final plan for the ‘Exercise Tiger Lightning -3’ to be held in Bangladesh with the joint participation of the United States and Bangladesh Army.

The three-day seminar was attended by 11 delegates from the US Army Pacific Command and senior military officials from the Bangladesh Army headquarters and BIPSOT. The seminar will end on Tuesday.

Mentionable that since 2017, the United States and Bangladesh Army have been jointly conducting ‘Exercise Tiger Lightning’.

Exercise Tiger Lightning-1 and Exercise Tiger Lightning-2 were held in 2017 and 2021 at the United States Joint Base Lewis–McChord in Washington.

Following this, ‘Exercise Tiger Lightning-3' will be held on March 19-31 this year at Rajendrapur Cantonment. It is hoped that the conduct of this joint exercise will further enhance the existing good relations between the two armies.
