RANGPUR: The authorities of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) have suspended all academic activities in physical presence till February 6 next complying with the government decision amid the deteriorating corona situation.
“The decision was taken at an emergency virtual meeting of the academic council of BRUR arranged on Saturday evening with Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Md Hasibur Rashid in the chair,” said a press release on Sunday.
However, classes, examinations and the admission process will continue using online facilities.
Offices of the university will remain open on a limited scale from 10:00am to 2:00pm through following the health directives of the government.
The residential halls will also remain open by ensuring abidance of the health directives.
Students of the university have been suggested to sincerely follow the health directives and pay special attention to protect their health.
Besides, the meeting decided to conduct all activities for the admission process in the first year of degree (honors) courses for the 2020-2021 academic sessions (4th to 7th lists) online.
