Tushar Khan hospitalised with corona infection

Noted actor Tushar Khan was admitted to the Green Life Hospital in the capital on Saturday with corona infection.

Ahsan Habib Nasim, general secretary of Actors’ Equity Bangladesh, confirmed the news to the media on Sunday. “Tushar bhai tested positive for coronavirus few days ago. Currently, he is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the capital. Please pray for his speedy recovery,” Nasim said.

Tushar Khan is one of the popular small screen, stage and film actors of the country. He started his acting career with the theatre group Aranyak in 1982. He has acted in Aranyak’s numerous popular plays including ‘Iblis’, ‘Ora Kadam Ali’, ‘Samatat’, ‘Mayur Singhasan’, ‘Joy Jayanti’ and ‘Abbahika’.  

Tushar Kahn came to the spotlight through the drama ‘Itikatha’. The play was written by Mamunur Rashid and produced by Alauddin Ahmed.

The actor’s big screen debut was ‘Ajaker Andolon’ directed by Chashi Nazrul Islam. He also shared the screen with popular actor Salman Shah in ‘Bikkhov’.

Tushar Khan was last seen in the film ‘August 1975’.
