Bangladesh Premier League champions Bashundhara Kings will start their campaign in AFC Cup 2022 taking on Maldivian side Maziya Sports and Recreation Club in their first match of the four-team Group D (South Asian Zone) on May 18.
The Bangladesh champions will play their next match against the fourth participants who will qualify through play-off (South Asia) on May 21 and the last group match against Indian team Gokulam Kerala on May 24.
All matches will take place at the centralised venue, though the hosts are yet to decide. Meanwhile, in the play-off (South Asia) six teams will compete in different phases. Among them, Machhindra FC of Nepal will play against Blue Star SC of Sri Lanka and Club Valencia of Maldives will play against Paro FC of Bhutan in the preliminary round one of a play-off, both on April 5.
