Electricity supply under the Bangladesh Power Development Board’s (BPDB’s) distribution system in Sylhet has been disrupting severely due to the worsening flood situation for onrush of upstream hilly water. Equipment of substations at some areas under the distribution inundated. Electricity supply in some areas don’t possible due to submerge of flood water. Despite that, the BPDB is continuing supply of electricity to 99 percent areas with relentless work of workers and employees of BPDB.
