RUJA gets new executive body

The 15-member executive body of Rajshahi University Journalist Association (RUJA) has been formed with Nuruzzaman Khan of Daily Samakal as president and Nur Alam of Daily Alokito Bangladesh as general secretary for the year of 2022-23.

The organisation’s adviser Mamun Abdul Kaioum declared the committee in the annual meeting of RUJA was held its office on Thursday evening. The other nominated office bearers are vice presidents -- Tapas Kumar Sarkar (Prothom Alo), Tousif Qaium (Bangla Tribune), joint-general secretary Abdus Sabur Lotus (Amader Somoy), organising secretary Noman Imtiaz (Naya Shatabdi), treasurer Saifur Rahman (NTV Online), office secretary Sohanur Rahman Rafi (UNB), publicity and publication Ripon Chandra (Uttara Pratidin), literature and culture secretary Maryam Polly (Alokito Somoy), sports secretary Mehedi Hasan Akash (Banglavision Online), programme and planning editor Mamun Hossain (BD Campus TV). Executive members-1 Asif Azad Siam (BD News24.com), executive member-2 Golam Rabbil (Silkcity News) and executive member-3 Irfanur Rahman Tamim (banglamirror.net). Other members are Subrata Gain, Shamim Reza and Shahabuddin Islam. Moreover, Shahin Alam and Raj Kiran Das will act as advisors of the committee.
