Five people were arrested during raids from Sunday night to Monday morning in relation to the murder of a person.

The arrestees are Mohammad Sumon alias Gas Sumon, 29, Mohammad Sohag alias Lammu Sohag, 28, Sharif alias Garif, 29, Jony alias Horse Power Jony, 32, and Mohammad Harun, 32.

Commander Khandaker Al Moin, director of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), revealed this to reporters in the capital on Monday.

On January 15, miscreants stabbed Saimon alias Nure Alam, 25, to death at Muktirbagh in Keraniganj, as he informed law enforcers about the illegal activities of drug dealers. The veins of legs and hands of the victim were slashed by the miscreants.

Arosh Alam, brother of the victim, filed a case against seven to eight unknown people at Keraniganj Model Police Station.
