Bangladesh Test skipper Mominul Haque on Saturday said that they would keep their feet on the ground despite their maiden Test win against New Zealand at their territory.

The Tigers clinched a historical Test win over the Kiwis during the opening Test in Mount Maunganui which also ended their 32-match losing streak against New Zealand in their own backyard.

The hosts, however, came back strongly to win the second Test to square off the two-match series but it couldn’t deny Bangladesh from achieving their best ever performance on the New Zealand soil till the date.

Bangladesh will play quite a few big Test series in the coming months against the likes of South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies and India and Mominul claimed that they’re currently focusing on playing well against them as well.

“We might have won a Test match but now I’m more worried about the next series,” said Mominul after arriving at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 04:30pm (BST) through an Emirates Airlines flight.

“Those series will be very challenging for us…We will keep our feet on the ground. We need to progress day by day,” he added.
