The shooting of filmmaker Proshoon Rahmaan’s upcoming tribute film ‘Dear Satyajit’ has been completed recently.
The filming of the movie took place at different locations, including Satyajit Ray’s grandfather Upendrakishore Ray Chowdhury’s house in Kishoreganj, Dhaka, Manikganj and Kapasia of Gazipur.
In the meantime, Proosoon has released the first look of the film.
Under the banner of Imation Creator, the film is scheduled to be released on May 02, marking the birth centenary of the master filmmaker Satyajit Ray.
The story of the film revolves around three filmmakers from three different generations whose crafts and lives have been deeply influenced by Ray’s filmography.
Rubel will be seen as an elderly filmmaker named Asif Mahmud, who is discovered by a young aspiring filmmaker named Aparajita, played by Moutushi Biswas; and they both develop an inseparable connection to Satyajit Ray’s works.
Besides Ahmed Rubel and Moutushi Biswas, Pankoj Majumder, Said Babu, Sangeeta Chowdhury, Labonno Chowdhury, Ehsanul Haque, Nusrat Jahan Nadi, Abir and others will be seen acting in the movie.
