The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has asked the Directorate of Secondary Education (DSHE) to submit probe reports by February over 184 allegations transferred by the anti-graft body.

ACC came up with the deadline following a review meeting between the ACC secretary and DSHE Director General Prof Syed Golam Faruk at the commission’s headquarters in the capital on Wednesday.

ACC sent a total of 184 allegations to the DSHE from January 2019 to September 2021 asking the DSHE to conduct probe or take measures over the allegations.

The commission sent 42 letters to DSHE seeking probe reports on some allegations while it also sent 142 more letters requesting DSHE for taking measures over the allegations.

Finally, in the meeting, DSHE informed that some allegations are still under investigation. Later, the ACC asked the DSHE to submit pending reports regarding the allegations by February. Otherwise, the ACC will take necessary legal action.
