A female garment worker has allegedly been gang-raped after she was made unconscious in her workplace at Ashulia on the outskirts of the capital.

Being informed, her colleagues abstained from work on Wednesday, protesting against the hatred abuse and demanded immediate arrest of the accused.

Quoting from the victim and her colleges, Jamal Hossain, inspector (intelligence) of Ashulia Police Station, told the Daily Sun that the female worker joined the RMG factory Yagi Bangladesh Garments Limited at Narsinghapur recently.

He said that on December 23 noon, she was called in a room of the factory in the name of testing her blood.

When she went there, she was pushed an injection and raped by three to four men, he said.

After two hours, she regained sense and went to her residence and shared the matter to her parents.

The victim became very sick and could not come to her workplace after the incident, the officer said.

On Tuesday, she came to her workplace and shared the pathetic incident to her coworkers, he said.
