Art show on Bangabandhu in Japan

An art exhibition titled ‘Bangabandhu and Bangladesh’ began at Kahal Gallery in Tokyo, Japan on Sunday. 

The exhibition has been arranged, marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of country’s independence. Bangladesh Ambassador to Japan Shahabuddin Ahmed inaugurated the art show.

In his remark, the Bangladesh Envoy thanked the organisers as well as the participants for arranging such an exhibition through which deep respect is shown to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. At the same time culture of Bangladesh is also exhibited in Japan. He wished all the success for this wonderful endeavor. 

Economic Minister of the Mission Syed Nasir Ershad, Takashimadaira Foreigners Support Center President Yoshinari Katsuo, Profesor and Dean of Sociology Department, Rikkyo University Mizukami Tetsuo and artist and chairman of Kahal Gallery Kamrul Hasan Lipu, were also present at the event. 

A total of 71 artworks of Bangabandhu by 71 artists from Bangladesh and Japan are being displayed at the show. Organised by Kahal Gallery, the exhibition will continue till December 31.
