As many as seven more dengue patients were hospitalised while no new patient died in the country in the last 24 hours till Friday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Of the new infections, the total number of patients this year rose to 28,330 while a total of 1,108 were hospitalised in the current month, said the DGHS.

At least 3,567 dengue patients were hospitalised in November, 5,458 in October, 7,841 in September, 7,698 in August, 2,286 in July, 272 in June, 43 in May while three were diagnosed in April, 13 in March, nine in February and 32 in January this year.

According to the DGHS, 104 people infected with dengue fever have died in the country this year. Twelve dengue patients died in July, 34 in August, 23 in September, 22 in October, 7 in November and six deaths have been reported in current month December.
