JMI Group to invest Tk 52m for increasing syringes production

JMI Group is going to make a new investment of around Tk 52 million for increasing production capacity of syringes for vaccination against other diseases including corona.

Company Secretary of JMI Syringes and Medical Devices Limited Mohammad Tareq Hossain Khan came up with this information at the 226th board meeting of the company through virtual platform on Monday, said a press release.

During the meeting, the company had approved an investment of USD 6,14,984 (Tk 52 million) for the purchase of equipment and other accessories required to increase the production capacity of syringes.

JMI Group Chairman Md Jabed Iqbal Padan, Managing Director Md Abdur Razzak, nominated directors of Japan's Nipro Corporation at JMI Syringes and Medical Devices Ltd Katsuhiko Fujii and Hisao Nakamori, Independent Director of JMI Syringes and Medical Devices Limited ATM Serajul Salekin Chowdhury, Director (Finance) Hiroshi Saito, Deputy Managing Director (Production) Hisao Shigetomi, Chief Financial Officer of JMI Group Jahangir Alam, Chief Financial Officer of JMI Syringes and Medical Devices Ltd Ranjit Chakraborty and Company Secretary Mohammad Tareq Hossain Khan were present at the meeting.
