RAC gets new body

Mohiuddin Ahmed (South Asian Times) and Tawhid Sourav of (ATN News) were elected president and general secretary respectively of the Reporters Against Corruption (RAC), an organisation of journalists working with the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

RAC members also elected Ahammad Foyez (New Age) and Rahman Masud (News Bangla) as vice-presidents while Jamson Mahbub (Ekattor TV) and Shafi Uddin Ahmed (Asian TV) as joint secretaries of the organisation in an election held at a restaurant in the capital’s Segunbagicha on Friday.

Others elected office bearers are organising secretary Rabbi Siddiki (Jamuna TV), finance secretary Mahbub Saikot (My TV), office secretary Taslimul Haque Tawhid (Boishaki TV), publication secretary Jesmin Moli (Banikbarta), training and research secretary Shafiqul Islam Sabuj (Channel 24), international affairs secretary Atika Rahman (RTV), and culture and sports secretary Ali Talukder (News24 TV).

Morshed Noman (The Business Standard), Alauddin Arif (Bangladesh Pratidin), Abul Kasem (Durbinnews), Aditto Arafat (DBC TV), Sayeed Khan, Sheikh Mohammad Jamal Hossain (Daily Mukhaptra) and Shafik Shain (NTV) were also elected as the executive committee members of the new committee.
