National discard Al Amin Hossain said on Monday that he is happy to get back into competitive cricket with the ongoing Lanka Premier League.
Five Bangladeshi cricketers- Mohammad Mithun, Nazmul Islam Opu, Mehedi Hasan Rana, Al-Amin Hossain and Taskin Ahmed- were picked from the draft.
Al Amin picked two wickets for 36 runs in his allotted four overs in his opening game against Dambulla Giants that his team lost by 20 runs.
“I am happy to return to competitive cricket because I had a long lay-off due to injury and I was looking forward to an opportunity,” Al Amin told The Daily Sun from Sri Lanka.
“I am confident that with passing days I will get back my full rhythm considering I have picked wickets and it will be a huge mental boost for me,” he said.
