A month-long photography exhibition titled ‘Bangabandhu and Bangladesh’ began at Istanbul University in Turkey on Monday. The exhibition has been organised marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of the Bangladesh’s independence.
Istanbul Deputy Governor Özlem Bozkurt Gevrek, CEO of Private Public Partnership Authority and Secretary of Bangladesh Sultana Afroze, Rector of Istanbul University Prof Dr. Mahmud Ak and Bangladesh Ambassador to Turkey Mosud Mannan were present at the inaugural ceremony.
The invited guests appreciated the impact of the exhibition on the minds of the students and teacher of Istanbul University by learning about Bangabandhu’s eventful life and achievements and the continued development of Bangladesh despite the challenge of coronavirus pandemic situation.
On the same day at the Doctoral hall, a day-long conference on Bangladesh Day also took place.
All the speakers and invited guests of the conference thanked Istanbul University and Bangladesh Embassy for arranging this kind of event. Ambassador Mosud Mannan presented special crests to the Rector of Istanbul University and the Governor of Istanbul for their cooperation in arranging the event.
Speakers also received special souvenir from the Ambassador of Bangladesh. All guests present were entertained with well-known Bengali Lunch.
